Meet Dr. Kate Nematollahi

I am a compassionate and dedicated dentist with more than 25 years experience in cosmetic and general family dentistry. I graduated from The University of Maryland College Park with a B.S. in General Biological Sciences and earned my D.D.S. from The University of Maryland Dental School in Baltimore. I received special training and certification in Advanced Education in General Dentistry from The University of Michigan. In that 2 year program, I was able to utilize CEREC CAD/CAM technology to fabricate ceramic restorations and assist in clinical research projects using CEREC. I also participated in an exchange program with the University of Zurich.

I owned a dental practice for the past 12 years in Bethesda, but recently made the decision to sell my practice to be able to have more time with my family, attend continuing education classes and perfect my skills as a cosmetic dentist. To be frank, I also really missed working alongside other colleagues with similar interests. I am extremely excited and fortunate to have this opportunity to join Dr. Callahan’s very talented and professional dental family.

My goal is to provide quality, individualized dental care using the latest proven effective technology, materials and techniques modern dentistry has to offer. I pride myself for being a clinician who believes in the importance of rendering care by educating patients about their dental treatment needs, offering choices of the different treatment options and finally performing the procedures in a gentle and empathetic manner.

What I love most about my work is meeting and making real, long lasting connections with people and inspiring them to achieve and maintain healthy, beautiful smiles. My interests outside of work are spending quality time with my husband, and two wonderful children. My husband and I have been together for over 30 years sharing our experiences in the dental profession, our extended families in Iran, and our travels around the world . I love reading, going on long walks with my dog and practicing yoga. Since the start of the pandemic, I was able to increase my volunteering time for the Maryland Responds Medical Reserve Corps, as well as other local charitable organizations. I also started to take French conversation classes to fulfill a life long dream to become fluent and visit as many French speaking countries as I can!
