Office Visits

Our practice is committed to providing you and your family with safe, gentle, high-quality dental care. We understand that you or your child may feel anxious about visiting the dentist. We are sensitive to your needs, and it is our goal to make you feel comfortable visiting our practice while providing the best care possible.

Your first visit is all about you: your comfort, your happiness, and your health

During your first visit, we will complete a pre-clinical interview to review your dental and medical history, and discuss any concerns, questions or fears you may have. We will do a comprehensive exam including dental radiographs if necessary. We also complete an Oral Cancer Screening during all exams. Our hygienist will spend time reviewing and creating your individual home care routing, educate you on your oral health, nutrition, and complete a periodontal evaluation. After the periodontal evaluation the hygienist will then do a cleaning or begin any periodontal treatment you may need.

At your next visit Dr. Callahan will meet to discuss your X-rays, review your individual treatment plan and answer any questions you may have.

Bring your smile, but also remember to bring these with you to your first appointment

Regular checkups are an important part of maintaining a healthy smile!

The American Dental Association recommends a visit to your dentist at least every six months. However based on your oral and medical health, more frequent recare visits may be needed to maintain your oral health.

We understand you have a busy schedule, so when you’re preparing to visit our office, please remember your appointments can last between 60 and 90 minutes.
